Valor’s US Tour Continues: Rialto High School

Valor’s journey across the USA continues, leaving a trail of inspiration and empowerment in its wake. Today, we found ourselves at Rialto High School in California, where we embarked on another leg of their mission to revolutionize esports training.

Led by Mikal Thompson and the Rialto Unified School District, the Valor team—comprising Loukmane Issa, Sam Ward, Nick Schlobohm, and Bartosz Kawczak—engaged with 30 enthusiastic students, offering them a unique opportunity to hone their skills through Valor’s innovative learning platform. The focus was on Rocket League and Super Smash, two popular esports titles that require strategy, communication, and dedication to excel.

The feedback from the students was overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing their gratitude for the structured and purposeful training they received. One student summed it up perfectly, stating, “I’ve never experienced training that way, and it was awesome!” This sentiment reflects the core philosophy of Valor: using gaming as a tool for personal and academic growth.

At Rialto High School, the energy was palpable, and the commitment of both the students and the Valor team was unwavering. As we delved into the training sessions, it became evident to students that gaming could be more than just a pastime—it could be a catalyst for lifelong skills development.

Valor’s ethos of “Game for Life” was on full display, as students embraced the opportunity to improve their play and their lives through structured learning, communication, and performance enhancement. Throughout the day, laughter filled the room, but so did a sense of purpose and determination. Everybody understood when it was time to focus, demonstrating coachability traits that are essential not only in esports but also in life.

We are immensely grateful to Generation Esports for their continued support in facilitating these transformative experiences for students across the country. Without our partnership, initiatives like this one at Rialto High School would not be possible.

Reflecting on the journey, the we can’t help but marvel at how far we’ve come in the last year. What began as a simple idea has blossomed into a movement, touching the lives of countless students and educators. Witnessing an entire classroom captivated by an esports training video on the Valor platform was a surreal moment—one that reaffirmed our commitment to the Valor’s mission.

The ability to impact students in a meaningful way is what drives the Valor team forward. Our passion for esports is matched only by our desire to provide young people with opportunities we wish we’d had when we were students ourselves.

With each training session, Valor is inching closer to realizing its vision of empowering students through gaming, one school at a time.

Go Knights!
